The Cedarhurst Youth Ambassador council is a great opportunity for teens to work behind the scenes at an art museum. The goal of this project is for teenagers in the community to become aware of the many programs at Cedarhurst. Students selected for this program work as a team to create and promote an annual art-relevant social event geared toward students.

Through the planning and execution of the project, the students have the opportunity to gain administrative and budget management experience, work as a team through leadership and task-delegated roles, and engage in time management skills to assure project success.

The Youth Ambassador council attends regular monthly meetings with the full Cedarhurst Administrative Counselor Committee and Cedarhurst staff. On a rotating basis, the students are responsible for addressing the full Counselor meetings to report on the planning and execution of the annual event and activities of the Youth council.
