EXHIBIT STATEMENT:

Antonio Martinez proposed this year’s topic “Corners” with support from Alison Smith and Rusty Freeman, Cedarhurst Center for the Arts.

Corners are places where two or more sides meet. Corners are also a part, region, or area, especially one regarded as secluded or remote from a common area.

Antonio Martinez described “Corners” as a theme imagining (photographing) the unique and vast array of places, real or imaginary, that harbor the passions, secrets, or comforts of a person.
