ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
Artists Michael Dinges and Matthew Boonstra make art using common objects from everyday life. Dinges looks outward to society-at-large, Boonstra peers inward to self and family. Dinges celebrates the tradition of hand-crafted objects confronting the dehumanizing effects of the markets. Boonstra celebrates the family’s ingenuity to prevail against the unrelenting challenge to forge livelihoods in a post-industrial economy. Both artists see their art offering ways to navigate today’s world.
