BECK FAMILY EDUCATION CENTER

Create, play and connect! Bring your IMAGINATION along to the Beck Family Center, located inside the Mitchell Museum. Admission is free and open to the public in this hands-on environment providing endless opportunities for young visitors to experience the textures, color, and excitement of discovering art in the world around them. Whatever the season, time in the Beck Family Center will spark imagination and fun through the many interactive components such as: The “Artist Hub” activity center where kids can create in multiple media; a giant liteworks station; the curator station that allows the visitor to become a curator and create their own exhibition; and collaborative sculpture with pool noodles! Be sure to save time to grab a book and sit underneath the tree in our story time glen!

FIRST FRIDAY STORY TIME FOR OUR PRE-K FRIENDS!

Join us at 10:00 a.m. on the first Friday of each month under the indoor tree in the Beck Family Center Library! At each session, pre-K and kindergarten students will learn about art, nature’s seasons, cultural traditions, colors, and artists through age appropriate books. Story Time is open to the public and admission is free.
