Own a piece of Mitchell Museum history and pave the way for the future.

Each purchase supports our 50th Anniversary programs and projects

In 2021 Cedarhurst invested in a major capital project to replace the facade of the original Mitchell Museum, a necessity to ensure the safety of Cedarhurst visitors. Thankfully the history was not lost.

The beautiful white Carrera marble, selected by museum founders John and Eleanor Mitchell for their namesake museum, has been repurposed into keepsakes to commemorate this special anniversary year! Each item is hand-crafted and unique.

This brochure includes the selection of items for sale – perfect for use at home, the office, or as a special gift. Note the special collaboration with artist John Medwedeff! Monies raised through the sale of these items will support the museum’s 50th anniversary programs and projects.

Purchase a piece of Cedarhurst history and help us celebrate 50 years of art, culture, and community!

From special exhibits and a school artist residency to golden garments and a commemorative musical composition, Cedarhurst staff and volunteers have pulled out all the stops with above and beyond programming to create a year-long celebration.

Museum leadership are also in the midst of renovating the historic Mitchell House, home of museum founders John and Eleanor. Once completed, the home will pay tribute to the Mitchells and be more functional for events.
