Wood Carving Spoons

Larry Stock is a folk artist who has been hand carving spoons for over 45 years. During this one-day workshop a wealth of knowledge will be shared about the history of folk art, different varieties of wood and how to carve your own spoon. This primitive way of creating functional spoons will involve learning how to use a wooden mallet, a variety of gauges and a draw knife to hammer the hard wood into shape.
